Before any work commences you must already have insurance for your construction. Failure to do this step may mean no insurer wanting to cover your project.
Before the contractor commences any work under contract or is given access to the site the contractor must have insurance for:
- Public Liability to an amount not less than $5M
- Property damage (includes work in progress and materials)
- Workers Compensation to cover any employees working on the site
